Fusion of past and present in a flat in the Eixample / Barcelona / Barcelona
Respecting the original identity of the space and, at the same time, creating a comfortable, functional home with a contemporary aesthetic, was the challenge of the restoration and interior architecture project carried out by the Vilablanch studio on this apartment in Barcelona's Eixample.
When past and present coexist
The project meticulously recovers the original elements (nolla floors, Catalan vault, original window and door carpentry ...) and combines them with furniture from leading contemporary design firms such as bulthaup and La Corneu in the kitchen, or Agape and Antonio Lupi in the bathroom, and a lighting proposal that silently enhances the beauty of the space, seeking minimal interference from the lighting elements in the original architecture.
