ASCER Interior Design Award for "Inhabiting a Coderch"
On November 17, the vilablanch studio won the ASCER Ceramics Awards for Interior Design at the 20th edition of the contest, for the project "Inhabiting a Coderch".
The interior architecture project carried out by vilablanch in this house located at the emblematic Banco Urquijo building in Barcelona, recovers the original essence of Coderch with a contemporary language. The twentieth edition of the awards organized by ASCER (Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Tiles and Pavements), has had a first level jury, chaired by the architect Carlos Ferrater (OAB). Fermín Vázquez (b720), Jaime Sanahuja (Sanahuja & Partners), José Mª Marzo (director of Tectónica), Alicia Fernández (Alicia Fernández Interiorismo) and Ángel Pitarch (president of the Castellón College of Architects) have acted as members.
"The Jury values that it is a rigorous interior design exercise and very respectful of the spirit of José Antonio Coderch's architecture, finding permanence as a common denominator. The right selection of materials and the careful execution of the work stand out."
We are very happy to share this wonderful news with you. We invite you to know the project "Inhabiting a Coderch" here.
